ABOUT OUR SOCIETY
Argentine Tango was introduced to the Lehigh Valley in 2005, through the efforts of Sharon Hillman. Learning the dance might have been enough, but a tango community is far more than simply a dance. As a community, we now enjoy a welcoming group of friends at all levels of tango proficiency.
The Lehigh Valley Tango Society (LVTS) was formed as its own independent entity in 2008 by community dancers to assist in Sharon's mission to bring and maintain a strong Argentine Tango community in the Lehigh Valley (Eastern Pennsylvania).
The mission of the Lehigh Valley Tango Society is to promote, encourage, and support the art form of authentic Argentine Tango community in the Lehigh Valley
Why Argentine Tango?
Argentine Tango is a healthy and safe environment with global social groups and communities. It can easily become your passport to many new cities and countries if you take the time to learn the dance! Ours is a diverse and warm community of interesting people of all ages and backgrounds. As a social network, people from the Lehigh Valley often travel together to NYC and Philly to tango and introduce new people to the many groups in the area.
